Do you dream of becoming a real estate agent? Do you love helping people buy and sell homes? Then, you’re probably interested in learning how to come up with great real estate company names. In this post, we’ll share a few tips on how to do just that.
Real estate is one of the fastest-growing industries in the United States. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), there were nearly 3.4 million licensed realtors in the country in 2021. That number is expected to grow by another 1.2 million by 2022.
There are many reasons why real estate is booming. First, the housing market is recovering from the 2008 financial crisis. Second, millennials are increasingly buying their first homes. Third, the cost of living continues to rise, making homeownership even more attractive.
Fourth, the job market is improving, which means more people are getting hired. Fifth, the economy is doing well, which makes homeownership more affordable. And lastly, the government is offering incentives to encourage homeownership.
As you can see, there are plenty of opportunities for aspiring real estate agents. But, before you jump into the industry, you need to think about what kind of real estate business you want to start. There are two main types of real estate businesses: residential and commercial.
Residential real estate refers to properties that are used for personal purposes. Examples include single-family houses, apartments, townhouses, condos, and mobile homes. Commercial real estate involves properties that are used for business purposes. These properties may include office buildings, retail stores, warehouses, and industrial spaces.
Regardless of whether you decide to focus on residential or commercial real estate, you’ll still need to consider several factors before choosing a name for your real estate business.

A Guide To Help You Name Your Real Estate Company
So, are you opening a real estate company? The term “real estate company” sounds quite heavy and fancy on its own, doesn’t it? A proper business with a pristine environment and work schedule sounds quite monotonous but we all know it isn’t. A real estate business is one of the very few businesses that will not be profitable regardless of any era. This line of business allows one to expand based solely on their quick thinking and dealing with customers and knowing the charm of convincing.
There won’t be any lies if I state that real estate business names are bland and monotonous at most. This generic nature of the names has led to the generic and blend perception of the business itself. If you want to introduce something new to the market while also aiming to change the general perception and attract customers then you need a catchy and equally sophisticated name for your company.
How To Name Your Real Estate Company
Many new entrepreneurs might think that a real estate company’s name does not play an important role in its establishment nor is there any need for some special tips. Well, they are quite wrong. If you think there is no room to think creative or new when naming a real estate company then you are wrong too.
To further prove our point, we’ve brought you a list of tips and techniques to avoid common mistakes when naming a real estate company.
Don’t Think Basic
When naming a real estate company many people often think of how there is not much room to think or how no creativity comes into it. This line is perceived as a business that is all professional talk and nothing else but it’s far from it. Any business whether it’s a small-scale business or a large-scale one needs a good name for cementing its position. A name is the first representative of any business. It plays an integral part in creating a perception in one’s mind. A bland and generic name will set up bland perceptions while a unique and fresh name will do the opposite.
You want to attract buyers and investors but how will you do it if the name of your company does not convey a welcoming and unique aura. Customers always look for something new and if you want to show them you have that “something nee” they are looking for, show it through the name. They will review your plans and schemes later and perceive it all through the name first. So, avoid generic terms like “real estate company” or “realtor business” and think unique.
Don’t Go Overboard
While we encourage you to think unique and creative, we also recommend not going overboard. After all, this is a real estate company that has certain criteria to measure up to. While going for a unique and fresh outlook refrain from going too cool or improper with the name. As mentioned before, a name sets the perceptions and the nature of the name decides the nature of perception. Going for an overtly improper name will paint an incompetent and inexperienced image of your company.
Avoid improper phrases and words. Also, stay away from incorrect spellings to give off a cool and edgy aura. Keep it to the point while bringing a unique touch of yours.
Create a list of 150-200 keywords or adjectives that you associate with your idea of the company. This list can range from keywords to phrases as well. Think of how you can portray the best possible and accurate image of your company through words. Write down the words that come to your mind and mark your favorites as you go. Broaden your list by listing down the synonyms of the written as well. Using a thesaurus or synonyms dictionary is an effective and easy way of expanding one’s list.
You can also write down some creative phrases that you associate with your vision. If not in the title, these phrases can be incorporated into the slogan for your company. The slogan will be on display everywhere with the company name too so you need to pay attention to that as well.
Make Sure The Name is Not Trademarked
Once you have enough ideas up your sleeve, Research thoroughly to make sure the potential names aren’t taken. More often than not this step is ignored and this ignorance results in an unnecessary and ugly legal battle. To save yourself of trouble later on you need to be thoughtful and cautious beforehand.
Google The Name
We cannot move ahead while ignoring the importance of the web world, can we? Google the potential names in your list and see how they do on the search engine. Do these names show up in top search results? Is any of the names competitive enough? Make sure that these essential points are ticked before you finalize a name.
Keep In Mind The Domain
If you want to cement the position of your business through the web you need to secure a good domain name firsthand. There should be no compromise on a domain name and keep in mind the factors that help in securing a domain name. Wordy names are mostly not preferred because of obvious reasons. So if you want to secure a domain name and keep the name memorable go for a short name. We recommend no more than 15 characters for a fitting and easy-to-remember name. Lengthy names are also prone to typos.
Don’t Forget The URL
When talking about domain names, we cannot ignore the URL of the website. A URL is your website’s literal address and you need a name that does not result in typos or misunderstood titles.
Avoid Giving It a Personal Touch
When naming a business, we always recommend going for a little personal touch if possible. Well, not here. A real estate company name should be proper and unique and giving it your name or someone else’s name takes away from the entire purpose of being pristine and proper.
