Travelled with my family (1 baby/1 toddler) to celebrate my husband and daughter’s b-day. Over paid for the worst service for what is suppose to be a 5 star hotel.Requested for a manager 3 times during my stay and was told one wasn’t on-site. The elevator in the East tower 7th floor to access the beach/pool wasn’t working in the 5 days staying there had to carry the kids while my husband carried the wagon down, an elderly couple who had a broken arm and leg also had to use the stairs. Waited over 2 hours for towels and had to reuse cause we had to leave. Requested for aBalloon to be blown up for my daughter’s b-day and was told to speak with concierge who told me to speak with the guys at the water sports who told me to speak to the guys by the pool who than told me to speak with concierge. At that point I couldn’t be bothered to wasteany more time. The rooms are small not large enough to accommodate 4. The toilet wasn’t working, had to wait an hour for maintenance to come up who than fixed it and made a mess with the toilet water all over the floor which we had to clean up. A few times requested for additional towels and Was asked how many people were in the room and only provide 4, I requested extra for the kids but just disregarded the reasoning. Don’t waste your money on the BAHA MAR. Better off staying at the COVE Atlantis, service is Much better there. Read less
Room had no ocean view, which I paid for. No mirrors outside bathroom. No robe or slippers. No lamp on one side of bed. Closet was too small. Carpet and bed were bad. Bathroom was very nice. Other than my room, the hotel was very nice.
The experience was one to remember. There are so many things that Grand Hyatt Baha Mar do right. Truly heaven on earth and lots of beautiful sites on the facilities. Be prepared to dig into your wallet
Very beautiful, clean and safe surroundings for young and old. Only draw back was a very crowded public beach area with locals accosting you to purchase non facility excursions and clothing.Beware $$$$ pricy dinning throughout your stay.
Hotel property is amazing, staff very courteous and helpful and activities are unlimited. Restaurant reservations are almost impossible to come by and food is the most outrageously priced of any tropical vacation we have taken.
