| We purchased our new unit in May 2020. It has never worked correctly. Techs have been out over a dozen times. We have been without heat since December 23. At the end of December, they told me we needed a new part. I've called and sent texts and was told the part was on back order so we've been waiting for over a month without heat. I called today, and they said they had a tech on their way, but they didn't schedule that appointment with us, so I had to scramble to find someone to get home, only to find out that they NEVER ordered the part and I don't know why we've been waiting. | To be honest. I dont even know where to start. When my AC went out in the end of May and the house started to get hot the only thing I thought about was how to get the house cold because of my animals. So after making a few calls and nobody was available ARS answered my call. Their response and appraisal went about without a hitch. Install took a good day with 2 people. Even tho those 2 installers damaged the house the AC got installed fairly easy. Tooke me several calls and weeks to get the wood which they broke to get fixed but more about that later. Anyway. I got all kinds of fancy warranty certifications on paper. Anyway. 1 week after the install I had to call because the AC was not going down to the desired temperature. A service guy came to the house, walked in and changed the temp and walked back out. Never looked at the unit. That didnt fix anything. So we called back and they brought in a "Expert" or so he called himself. He was at the house for about 45 min.... 2 weeks later we had the same issue. Temperature not reaching desired grade. This time we had a local service manager come buy. Long story short. Today is the 3rd of July. Its been 5 weeks with this "new" system and we are about to have our 4th service call with a brand new system. No. This system needs to be either picked up and uninstalled or replaced. Not happy. | The HVAC Technician, William Eichelberger, came out and found that the charge was at a 3 but should be at a 10 per the unit specs. He charged the unit and explained that the optimal humidity should be around 55%. Mine was at 78%. We will monitor a few days and contact him again if there is little or no change. | Thank you for the opportunity to let you know about our recent experience. Overall the installation process was extremely professional. I interacted with two employees. The first was Tom Darmetko, I believe a sales rep. He was very knowledgeable and straight forward. Based on my conversation with him we decided to purchase a new furnace.On installation day Anthony Souza arrived. We spoke briefly and discussed what the installation entailed. I mentioned two items that I wanted adjusted: the flue box that contained the old filter was constricted and needed to be enlarged ever so slightly. I also requested that some new 'gunk' be placed around the outside exhaust pipe. We also discussed thermostat usage. He was very good, very professional. I believe he had the right touch. As a homeowner and someone who used to work in the trades I could tell that we were speaking honestly with one another. ARS is fortunate to have Anthony Souza as an employee.Another employee who deserves kudos is the service person who first diagnosed the heat exchanger degradation. Unfortunately, I did not meet him but my wife said he also was very helpful. I only know him by his first name 'Jason'. | Two Items: (1). Background: I was originally schedule for service on 4/30/2018. Two weeks prior the temperature outside reached above 77 degrees and I switched my heating heating and air unit from heat to air with no results. I did not bother to change my scheduled appointment due to the forecasted return of cold weather for the next two weeks. the weather forecast on 4/25/2018, and it appeared that Winter was finally over and rising temperatures would begin to make the house uncomfortable especially since my wife would be returning from a trip and find the house would not be air conditioned. I called the ARS Service Desk this morning, 4/26/2018, to request if my service could be moved up a week early due to the above circumstances and I was assured that an ARS service person would be able to arrive today. No hesitation. The service desk person assured me that I would be called when the field manager would be on the way to my house. The service desk knew their service area and service availability. Within a few short hours I received the call. Excellent Service desk personnel public coordination and responsiveness. (2). ARS Site Service: I was glad to see a returning former field service, manager, Bernard Miller arrive to service our system once again. It is always nice to see a known face (person), returning to service your system, even if it was by chance. Mr. Miller serviced our system and found that the capacitor had expired, (quit) and needed replacement and made the necessary repairs. He also suggested that a representive meet with us to discuss to replace an aging system of 18 plus years. We agreed and have scheduled an appointment for tomorrow. This is Mr. Miller’s second service to our residence in the two years we have been in this house. Each time he has been very professional, courteous, insured that he put on his shoe covers as he entered the house. Efficient in his tasks but very friendly and answered home owners questions. | The technicians came very promptly and soon discovered the set up of the old system was not what they thought, sit took them a bit longer to rip it out and reconfigure the new intakes/outtakes. However, they came back first thing the next morning to finish the gas hookup.
